Dear Orchestra Conductor, Once again we are proud to present you with the newest String Orchestra publications from Carl Fischer Music for 2012. As one of the leading publishers of string orchestra music, we know that this year's offering will only bolster our reputation for quality and service among you and your students. Each year, we redouble our efforts to improve and enhance what we do to help you inspire your students with some high-quality music. For the first time, we're offering our Primer Series for String Orchestra, which features works written for the grade ½ level. They contain very limited notes and rhythms, but are musically stimulating to the youngest of students. There is a large demand for music at this level and as we answered the call, we made sure it was of the utmost quality, right in line with what teachers have come to expect from Carl Fischer Music. This new series, along with our other established grade level series, will give you something for ensembles at every ability level. In the Carl Fischer Music catalog, it’s really all about the composers. They are the best of the best and we are excited to have honored names as well as exciting new up-and-coming composers in our family. You will recognize names such as Alan Lee Silva, Keiko Yamada, Sean O’Loughlin, Joseph Compello, Doris Gazda, Matt Turner, George Sweet, Bill Calhoun, Yukiko Nishimura, Virginia Croft, Kevin Mixon, Deborah Baker Monday, Carl Strommen and Larry Clark. As in the past, respected string pedagogue Doris Gazda has carefully edited our well-rounded program of music for Elementary School to High School levels. Our promotional recordings are FREE full-length audio MP3s, and we offer everyone full on-screen PDF scores of every piece to help you make educated purchasing decisions. You can review the sheet music and listen to the entire piece on your computer or download the recordings to your iPods/MP3 players. We are dedicated to providing you with superior publications and we know that you’ll be just as excited as we are about our new String Orchestra music.
