Allegro, Air and Hornpipe from "Water Music"
Chanukah, O Chanukah A wonderful new setting of a classic holiday favorite, this setting of Chanukah, O Chanukah opens with a solo violin, "Fiddler-on-the-Roof"- style against the string orchestra playing pizzicato. Throughout the piece there are many nicely scored contrasts of texture and the tempo of the music gradually increases, as is expected with this traditional style. It all works to make a satisfying holiday piece for the ensemble, that will surely be an audience favorite.

Crystal Moon A delightful essay in staccato playing, Crystal Moon, has a wonderful dance-like flavor to it that is very endearing. Add to that a gorgeously lyrical cello tune for contrast and the recipe is bound to produce a memorable Larry Clark original. This will be a very rewarding piece to play and a great chance to encourage and teach good counting habits and musicianship.

Theme and Variations A sweetly naïve, but cleverly constructed tune (Andante) is the basis for four contrasting variations that are technically easy but musically sophisticated. A lively march and a suave pastoral in 6/8, take the tune fairly far from home before the return of the original theme in its nearly original form.

(There's No Place Like) Home for the Holidays The ever-popular Robert Allen and Al Stillman holiday song is given a rich and varied treatment in this imaginative arrangement prepared by the expert hand of Larry Clark. Beginning with the chorus in richly scored five part texture, chorale style, Mr. Clark introduces a touch of swing for the verse before returning to the legato warmth of the chorus. This is a heart-warming setting of an evergreen favorite.
