Works from the following composers will now be available from Carl Fischer Music: Erik Satie, Francis Vercken, Max Pinchard, and many more.
Created in 1938 by Leon Moussinac, writer and film historian, Le Chant du Monde was the first French company to function dually as a publisher of sheet music and recorded music. Le Chant du Monde currently provides orchestral material to major performing groups and its catalog includes works from great Russian writers of the twentieth century such as Prokofiev, Khachaturian, Kabalevsky, Shostakovich, Mosolov, Knipper, as well as more recent generations (Edison Denisov, Alfred Schnittke, Sofia Gubaidulina, Yuri Kasparov, to name a few). Other composers in the Le Chant du Monde catalog include Nicolas Bacri, Renaud Gagneux, Antoine Duhamel, Jean Wiener, Guy Morançon, Régis Campo, Ramon Lazcano, Oscar Strasnoy, and Elizbieta Sikora. Works by Shostakovitch, Prokofiev, Kabalevsky and Khatchaturian will not be distributed by Carl Fischer Music.
