During the last two weeks of July, the Bang on a Can Summer Festival offers dozens of special concerts for museum-goers and the general public in the galleries of the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), with larger events in the North Adams community.
This year the Bang on a Can Festival included and concert devoted entirely to the music of Martin Bresnick, in celebration of his 70th birthday. The July 26th concert included Bresnick’s Going Home (Vysoke, My Jerusalem), Prayers Remain Forever, The Bucket Rider, and Be Just!. Relive this concert for yourself and listen to recordings of these pieces below.
