Sanctum

Adolphus Hailstork's Sanctum is a recital piece he has written for the clarinet, and will be welcomed by players of the instrument. While Hailstork is well-known for his choral works and sweeping, thematic instrumental pieces, Sanctum allows players to see his more introspective, abstract side. Sanctum was originally written for violist Beverly Baker, and it is meant to evoke memories of Hailstork 's time as a chorister at the Cathedral of All Saints in Albany, New York.
