Bewildered

Composed in a single, sweeping movement of Romantic proportions, Samuel Zyman's BEWILDERED is scored for the same ensemble as Schubert's familiar "Trout" quintet. Zyman's composition balances driving, symphonic-sounding ensemble passages with expressive and spacious soloistic passages, resulting in a dynamic interplay between intimate dialogue and harmonic expansiveness. Zyman’s inventive rhythms, lyrical gestures, and expressive depth offer ensembles an engaging modern complement to the great historic works of their repertoire.
