Abeni Janae (b. 2001( is a 19-year-old contralto singer, songwriter, composer, and advocate from El Paso, Texas. She is an alumna of Andress High School where she excelled academically, participated in UIL Solo/Ensemble and the TMEA All-State Choir competitions.
Abeni is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music from the University of Texas at El Paso where she is a member of the University Concert Chorale, the editor of the UTEP Sigma Alpha Iota chapter and an occasional panelist for the The Black Roundtable in El Paso.
With an everlasting love for music, her long-term goal is to become a successful and well-rounded musician, venturing in performance, music production, and composition. She also has a goal of creating an organization for youth who have a desire to learn more about music.
