Bass Builders 1

Bass Builders 1 provides the all-important foundation for setting up the beginning player. Focusing on left-hand facility and bow technique, each section of Bass Builders 1 targets concepts of left-hand shape, position practice, and endurance-building sometimes lacking in classroom method books or beginning ensemble repertoire. Designed to be easy to follow, each “building block” in this book focuses on various aspects of bass playing: from rhythmic concepts and bow distribution, to small and large interval shifts, harmonics, and major, minor, and chromatic finger patterns. Fun etudes allow the player to put new skills into practice, building layers on previous concepts.
