Daniel Keeler
Minnesota native Dr. Daniel Keeler is a passionate cellist, educator, and composer. Praised for his "lush" and "energetic" performances and compositions, Daniel has performed on stages across the United States. He has established himself as a pedagogue with numerous masterclasses and lectures at schools and clinics across the country.
As an educator Dr. Keeler is an Orchestra Director with Mounds View Public Schools, teaches at Concordia University, taught at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and has a private studio of students of all ages and diverse backgrounds. He has also been a guest and resident cellist and conductor for a wide variety of music festivals around the midwest. Dr. Keeler is also a board member of the Minnesota String and Orchestra Teachers Association (MNSOTA), the Minnesota branch of the American String Teachers Association.
As a cellist Dr. Keeler performs regularly with the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra and the Pines Quartet, has worked with the Minnesota Orchestra, and held leadership roles with other ensembles at the community, collegiate, and professional levels. He holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, a Masters of Music from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and Bachelors in Music Education from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
