Felipe is the general music teacher at the Dean P. Corey Academy of Fine Arts and Dual Language in Arlington ISD, where he teaches K-5 general music, choir, and is a director of the school musical. While at Corey, he was named the 2020 Teacher of the Year, a runner up for the AWARE Foundation Teacher of The Year award in 2022, and his 5th grade choir, known as The Cub Chorus, was selected to perform at the 2024 TMEA Clinic Convention. With his campus being an A+ School, Rosales works diligently with home room teachers to build lessons that integrate the arts into their subjects.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Music from the University of Texas at Arlington and has completed his Orff certification and one level of Kodaly through Southern Methodist University’s certification program. Currently, Felipe is pursuing a Masters of Music Education at UT Arlington. He is in his eleventh year teaching, with most of that time being at Corey Academy. In addition to working at Corey, he also leads workshops throughout the DFW Metroplex on various topics, including movement and integrating music into other subjects.
When not in the classroom, Felipe enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, playing board games, and performing with his band Flip and The Combined Effort.
