Composer, engraver, and software developer, Justin P. Tokke has been fascinated with music and composition since learning piano at an early age. After many years of trombone study, attending Mannes College, and graduating from Eastern University with a degree in composition, Tokke put his expert Sibelius skills to use as a freelance engraver in New York City. Now serving as Technical Lead for Carl Fischer Music, he has engraved, edited, and arranged a multitude of manuscripts and also oversees the development of the company’s websites and web apps. Tokke is also a church organist and choir director, and the founder and administrator of the Music Engraving Tips community with more than 24,000 members and counting, the largest dedicated group for music engravers worldwide. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and completing puzzles. He lives in Ossining, NY with his wife Tessa, his son James, and his beagle Bartók.
