Kyle Pederson is a Minneapolis-based composer, lyricist, and pianist whose work is increasingly performed both in the U.S. and internationally. He has won awards for his choral works from the National Lutheran Youth Choir, Cerddorion Choral Ensemble of NYC, and Little Singers of Armenia. Recent commissions and performances of note include TAISM International Choral Festival, AMIS International High School and Middle School Honor choirs, Los Angeles Choral Arts Initiative, and KC Vitas Chamber Choir. Three of Pederson’s choral pieces are featured in New Choral Voices Volume II and III by Ablaze Records. His work also includes two critically acclaimed piano-based albums, Renewal and 12.25, both collections of acoustic hymn arrangements.
Pederson holds an undergraduate degree from Augustana University (Sioux Falls, SD), a Masters Degree in Education from University of St. Thomas (St Paul, MN), and an MFA in Music Composition from Vermont College of Fine Art.
