El Céfiro is a Mexican folk song in habanera style. The danza habanera was brought to Mexico from Cuba in the 1800's. George Bizet wrote this style in his opera "Carmen" in his famous Habanera song. The original song only had two verses, so verses may be added or omitted depending on the performance situation.
