La Mariposa

This easy song for mariachi ensemble starts with a three-part eighth-note harmony in the trumpets that is meant to sound like butterflies flying all around during butterfly season. Represented by violins and trumpets, the butterflies begin moving at different speeds and directions. As the trumpets move upward through the scale, hear the butterfly rising and floating through the sky.
